The First Craigie Orchards Summer BBQ
What a wonderful afternoon we had on July 9, 2017 at Craigie Orchards' first Annual Summer BBQ. Face-painting, a bouncy castle, kids' sack, egg & water spoon races with prizes, hotdogs & hamburgers, a fire truck to visit, an antique 1951 MG-TD, free ice cream truck, raffle with prizes donated by local businesses ... what more could anybody ask for.

The weather was perfect; cloudy and sunny but not too hot or cold, with a warm wind rustling through our trees.

All these activities were enjoyed by many Craigie Orchards children and adults alike along with Sponsor families. It was wonderful to hang out with our neighbours, old and new. What a great group of folk we live with.

Thanks to PCC154 President Jan Dowding, Barry Gilbert (our Master-of-Ceremonies) and the other PCC154 board members who organized the games and "manned" the BBQ food tent. You delivered a memorable event ... without a doubt, the best and most positive community spirited get-together I can remember in our 40 years of living at Craigie Orchards.

And thank you to the neighbourhood business sponsors who helped make this happen. We loved having you join us . . .

Alpha Quality Cleaners, our painters ArmourC0, Bark & Brush, Bert's Sports Excellence, Brock Doors & Windows, Brown & Beattie, Carl's Pharmacy, Cousins, Edick & Sons, Halton-Peel Landscape & Trees, Mile Oak Publishing Inc., Maple Ridge Condo Management, Pizza Nova, The Brogue and Tim Hortons.

All the kids loved the Bouncy Castle. Devon, Tanya and Natasha are hard at work bouncing off their energy. Katy holds Max while Tangereen starts his face painting adventure. Sawyer looks on while Safia isn't too sure about the whole process.

As with most lineups, there's food at the end of this one!. David and Mark, sons of Nick the owner of Carl's Pharmacy (and a BBQ sponsor), enjoy sitting in the action seats of s Mississauga fire truck. The prize table, courtesy of our sponsors. Board member Barry, the BBQ Master-of-Ceremonies enjoyed reading out the winning raffle ticket numbers to delighted winners.
